The strange power of art is that sometimes it can show that what people have in common is more urgent than what differentiates them. -John Berger

My name is Danielle Barnes. I grew up in Pella, IA, and have always loved art. I was drawing during any space moment ever since I can remember. I took all of the art classes that were offered at my high school and then I went on to take two semesters of art independent study. During my senior year of high school, I became interested in photography, and as I worked with it more, I began to love it. During college, I also took all of the art classes I could, and I also discovered a love for graphic design. I also had the opportunity to work in different classrooms, both art and traditional. I loved working with the kids, and helping them out. I like to work hands-on with the kids, allowing them to experience their learning with my guidance. I often helped the other students in my art classes in both high school and college because I love sharing and discussing ideas with my fellow classmates. I would love to be able to teach art, and continue to share ideas with new artists.
